Prof. Andrea Rurale, PhD, is an academic and international expert in arts and cultural management. He is currently on sabbatical leave from Bocconi University, where he was formerly Director of SDA Bocconi's MAMA (Master in Arts Management and Administration).

He co-editedManaging the Cultural Business(Routledge, 2026) and created the Coursera course Arts and Heritage Management, which has reached nearly 50,000 learners worldwide. He also leads research on art markets and finance, including a Special Issue of the International Journal of Arts Management.

He has taught at several international institutions and collaborated with organizations such as Christie's Education and major cultural foundations. He serves on a number of scientific and institutional boards, including the FAI – Fondo Ambiente Italiano (Italian National Trust), where he also served as Regional President for Lombardy.

His research explores topics such as aesthetic experience, consumer behaviour, and artification in cultural and creative contexts. He contributes regularly to international conferences and serves as guest editor of academic journals on art as an investment.
